Dr. Eric Munoz and a surgical team at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper were the first in the region to perform the Mini-MAZE procedure. The first patient, Paul Marietta traveled from Scottsbluff, NE to have the procedure in October of 2006.

Within three days, Marietta was discharged from the hospital. “I feel great. I’m not on any pain medication right now and I plan on being back to work next week,” he said after his discharge from the hospital.
Dr. Munoz earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his medical degree from Stanford. He trained at the Cleveland Clinic. and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Surgery and a Diplomat of the Certification Board of Nuclear Medicine.
