Signal Average Electrocardiogram
An electrocardiogram is one of the simplest and fastest procedures used to evaluate the heart by placing electrodes on the chest, arms and legs. A signal average EKG is a more detailed type of EKG. Over a period of approximately 20 minutes, multiple EKG tracings are obtained in order to capture abnormal heartbeats that may occur only intermittently.
